Jazz Ensemble I

Jazz Ensemble I is the premiere jazz big band at Illinois State University and is comprised of a select group of the University's finest instrumentalists. This outstanding ensemble performs a wide range of big band literature including all styles from historical to cutting edge. Its members include some of the finest collegiate jazz soloists in Illinois. Membership is by audition only and is open to all Illinois State University students.

Jazz Ensemble II

Jazz Ensemble II is a group of 16–20 instrumentalists who perform a wide range of big band literature including all styles from historical to cutting edge. Membership is by audition only and is open to all Illinois State University students.

Combos

Various jazz combos of three to ten players are formed primarily from members of Jazz Ensembles I and II. The combos will be constructed through the audition process.
